Bath Half Marathon

On Sunday 16th March 2009 event exchange team member James Gould took part in the Bath Half Marathon for the first time. After months of training and hard work James successfully completed the Half Marathon in 2 hours and 13 minutes.

His achievement was only made greater thanks to the kind support of family members and friends, but also clients and suppliers of event exchange who helped raise a fantastic total of £1195 in sponsorship for his chosen charity.

Action on Pre-Eclampsia seeks to raise public and professional awareness, improve care, and ease or prevent physical and emotional suffering caused by the disorder which affects between 10% and 15% of all pregnancies.

Race for Life

Also not a natural born runner, Charlotte took part in the 5 kilometre Race for Life in Swindon on Saturday 11th July 2009. After lots of training in sun, wind and rain she completed the race in less than 30 minutes and successfully raised a superb total of £300 for charity.

Who knows, perhaps we will see an event exchange team taking part in the Flora London Marathon in a couple of years time!
